Schedule: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours/weekJob Description:
- Own the product-line production plan; translate demand into labour, shift, equipment and workflow plans; balance work across shifts; resolve constraints; and manage controllable operating costs.
- Set expectations for Production Supervisors, coach supervisors in daily management routines, build capability, support succession planning and ensure effective communication across shifts.
- Ensure work is planned, supervised and completed in accordance with safety requirements, quality gates, release requirements and standard work.
- Use performance data and structured problem solving to improve flow, productivity, quality and cost while implementing standardized work, 5S, visual management and lean practices.
- Develop workforce plans and partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services, Quality, Business Applications, Human Resources and Finance to resolve product-line issues.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in manufacturing, engineering, operations, business or a related discipline; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be considered.
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly or industrial operations, including direct leadership of supervisors or frontline leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production results while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Experience with workforce planning, labour deployment, production scheduling and cost control.
- Experience partnering with technical, quality, maintenance, supply chain and human resources functions.
