Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage all US-based Operations, Shop, and Inventory personnel.
  • Ensure timely delivery of inline inspections by aligning staffing, tools, and equipment availability.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as primary operations liaison for US-based clients including client facing meetings.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Shop Manager, and Data Analysis to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure all inspections meet customer expectations for quality and timeliness.
  • Apply ILI knowledge to assess pipeline feasibility and mitigate inspection risks.
  • Make informed decisions on inspection readiness, tool runs, and operating parameters.
  • Provide real-time recommendations based on pipeline conditions and field data.
  • Facilitate the rollout of new or amended policies and procedures, advanced technology training
  • Review and approve field project plans and safety parameters.
  • Audit post-run documentation and authorize release to Data Analysis.
  • Approve field-related expenses, time sheets, and bonus eligibility.
  • Maintain minimum inventory levels and ensure tool readiness.
  • Support workflow optimization and remove operational bottlenecks.
  • Lead staffing decisions including hiring, performance evaluations, and terminations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
  • Work closely with the Global Training Manager to align personnel growth and progression inline with industry compliance
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to align on best practices, safety, and performance.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to applicable regulatory and safety standards.
  • Conduct field and shop audits; escalate critical issues to the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Travel to field locations as needed, including international travel.
  • Provide leadership coverage during absence of the Executive Director.
  • Monitor and manage operational expenses to minimize waste while maintaining service quality and compliance with process, procedures and regulations
  • Manage inventory levels to best support operations through accurate forecasting of projects
  • Work closely with senior management to implement cost saving actions where directed or suggested
  • Proactively plan utilization of personnel and equipment to enhance operating margins, including the reduction of reactive spending
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director (USA Pipeline Data Solutions) or Senior Director of Operations.

Minimum Requirments 

  • 10+ years Operations Manager experience (or similar leadership role) with responsibility for team oversight and budget responsibilities
  • 5+ years ILI industry experience in Field/Shop/Project Management
  • High School Diploma (minimum)
  • Valid Driver License (Class C CDL) meeting company driver eligibility requirements
  • Valid Passport
  • In-depth knowledge of ILI tool functionality and pipeline inspection practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Mechanically inclined with solid field-based decision-making abilities.
