Job Summary:

The Operations Manager at Masimo Semiconductor is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing processes. This role requires deep expertise in semiconductor technologies, operational excellence, supply chain coordination, and team leadership to drive high-yield production, efficiency, and product quality. The Operations Manager also provides strategic direction across technical and operational functions, cultivating strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. Additionally, this role is accountable for consistently communicating performance insights and improvement opportunities to Senior Management, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, industry, and customer standards.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Lead cross-functional teams in operations, engineering, and quality assurance to meet production targets and KPIs.
  • Actively ensure the business is knowledgeable on III-V technology and promote applicable Regulatory, industry and customer requirements
  • Ensure executive leadership is adequately informed of the current performance and any need for improvement regarding Masimo Semiconductor
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Planning to develop and execute efficient production schedules based on customer demand and inventory goals.
  • Ensure material availability and equipment readiness to support uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure execution to the organization’s yearly plan and budget
  • Control costs through resource optimization and waste reduction
  • Responsible for overall P&L, teaming with the Finance Operations Controller
  • Recommend hire, promotion, demotion, reclassification or termination of employees
    • Recommend salary decisions (pay increases, bonuses or new hire offers)
    • Handle all organizational employee relations issues
  • Supervise and mentor staff, develop staffing plans, and support employee training and development
  • Determine goals for the organization and communicate those goals to the team
  • Determine organizational requirements based on the company build plan
  • Evaluate investment needs for the purchasing of equipment needed to improve manufacturing and testing efficiencies
  • Direct teams towards solutions to III-V MOCVD epitaxial and fabrication technical related issues
  • Influence organizational team effort by driving organizational related activities as needed
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
  • Identify organizational risks and preventative action measures
  • Analyze data trends and articulates future needs/requirements to executives
  • Facilitate Masimo Corporate and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (i.e. Homeland Security, etc.)


Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ten plus years of related experience, with prior experience in III-V MOCVD epitaxy and fabrication
  • Experience in high volume Medical Device manufacturing or related technology
  • Experience with MOCVD and facility operations and cleanroom equipment support
  • Specialized nature of III/V material or related technology platforms
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor processing, manufacturing technologies, and quality systems
  • Experience in front-end and/or back-end semiconductor operations
  • Excellent knowledge/experience with regulatory/environmental requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface with executive leadership, employees, customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with producing specialty materials, i.e. III-V

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree is required.   

Physical requirements/Work Environment 

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some travel may be necessary.
