Our Opportunity: 

Chewy is looking for a Learning Operations Manager to join our Learning Team onsite in our new Houston FC! In this role, you will lead and support a team of Learning And Forklift Coordinators who support and train the onsite Operations team in job processes and PIT training. An effective LOM partners closely with the site Operations team to identify potential risk to trained headcount and develops plan for the team to execute training that bridges the gap, while maintaining a training budget. Our Learning teams support on-the-job training with a team of operations trainers who volunteer to train newly hired, peers; our Learning leaders spend time working with operations to identify future trainers and recruit them to participate in the program. Our Learning Operations Managers build and maintain effective partnerships with site Operations, but also with HR, Safety, and Recruiting.


What you'll need: 

  • BA, BS or equivalent experience 
  • 2-4+ years guiding a team within a training/learning, operations or similar function
  • Understanding of fulfillment/distribution center/warehouse processes and flow 
  • Well-developed observational and analytical skills 
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills 
  • Able to work flexible schedules / shifts as needed for 7 day operation 
  • Validated skills for planning daily/weekly tasks and adapting to contending demands 
  • Strong skills developing relationships across all levels and functions 
  • Travel <10%
  • Detail oriented and accurate with the ability to focus attention on details 
  • Ability to prioritize, lead and complete projects with tight deadlines 
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as LEAN or Six Sigma
