Join StandardAero as the Operation Manager, responsible for managing our HTF7000 turbofan engine service offerings. In this leadership role, you’ll serve as the HTF technical expert, guiding maintenance teams and managing the flow of production to ensure delivery timelines and financial goals are met. In this critical role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our brand new, state-of-the-art, engine overhaul facility, dedicated to the Honeywell HTF engine line.
What You’ll Do
- Direct the production planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, sales mix, inventory requirements and materials availability.
- Plans day-to-day operations, assigns manpower, authorizes overtime and controls costs.
- Monitors production yields on a daily basis and make adjustments as necessary to maintain delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production, supply, sales, engineering and customer service to ensure production standards and goals are achieved.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures needed to achieve the business unit's strategic operating goals.
- Perform capacity planning for equipment, floor space and manpower requirements in accordance with forecasted workload.
- Builds and develop team approaches to problem solving and continuous improvement concepts within the assigned area.
- Produce and maintain measures of performance to graphically display performance-related strengths and weaknesses within the cell.
- Monitor, control and report on the cell's capital expenditures in relation to budgeted amounts.
- Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the cell, including the selecting of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the cell.
- Actively participate in the business unit management team, assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
- Assign and execute critical projects.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience serving in a people management capacity.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting the Honeywell HTF7000 service operations.
- Prior experience leading production teams across multiple shifts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Characteristics
- FAA Powerplant License.
- Specialized OEM, manufacturer, or technical training (Honeywell, FlightSafety, CAE, or accredited technical schools).
- Experience working in a Business Aviation MRO facility.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including aviation billing, cost controls, and contract compliance.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making skills and situational awareness.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
