Optum Nevada is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager, Community Programs to lead a high-performing, multi-site care delivery operation focused on improving patient outcomes, advancing quality performance, and supporting value-based care initiatives.
This role is ideal for a healthcare operations leader with experience in primary care, adult medicine, internal medicine, and health plan collaboration who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence. The Operations Manager will partner closely with providers, clinical leaders, stakeholders, and community partners to optimize clinic performance, enhance the patient experience, and support organizational growth and quality objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical thinking, and change management skills to help build high-performing teams, improve operational processes, and ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective care across multiple locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily operations across assigned clinic and community program locations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Supervise, coach, and support team members while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop staff to ensure operational excellence and exceptional patient service
- Partner with provider leadership, management teams, Health Plan of Nevada, and community stakeholders to optimize patient flow, improve satisfaction, and eliminate operational barriers
- Ensure consistent execution of clinic policies, procedures, and organizational standards
- Oversee business operations including scheduling, payroll administration, daily batch audits, cash handling processes, and project management activities
- Monitor financial performance, participate in budgeting activities, analyze reports, and prepare variance reporting to support business objectives
- Ensure accurate charge entry and revenue cycle support processes are maintained
- Manage facility operations, including equipment, supplies, space utilization, maintenance coordination, and safety initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, accreditation standards, and Optum policies and procedures
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Participate in organizational committees, meetings, and strategic initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of office or healthcare operations management experience
- 1+ years of experience working within a healthcare organization
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operational performance
- Proven ability to analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions
- Proven solid communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the state of Nevada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing operations in a primary care, adult medicine, or internal medicine setting
- Experience working within value-based care or population health programs
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and operational reporting
- Experience driving process improvement and change management initiatives
- Knowledge of health plan partnerships and healthcare quality performance initiatives
- Demonstrated success leading multiple locations or complex healthcare operations
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
