Join StandardAero Augusta as the Airframe Operations Manager, and partner with the Avionics Manager, Quality Department, and Engine Shop to ensure seamless workflow integration, operational alignment, regulatory compliance, and on-time aircraft delivery. In this leadership role, you will direct and oversee all maintenance operations within assigned hangars to ensure safe, efficient, compliant and high-quality aircraft maintenance activities.
For over 50 years, StandardAero Augusta has been setting the standard in Corporate Aircraft Maintenance. Our Part 145, Business Aviation MRO facility, is specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a recent 80,500 sq ft expansion, we’ve doubled our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 27 models of aircraft, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise Crew Chiefs, A&P Mechanics, and other maintenance personnel by establishing performance expectations, promoting accountability, conducting evaluations, supporting hiring and disciplinary actions, and coaching employees to improve technical capability, productivity, leadership, and overall performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with applicable FAA regulations, 14 CFR Part 145 requirements, company manuals, quality procedures, local work instructions, and FAA-approved or FAA-acceptable technical data.
- Continuously update the Director of Operations on operational status, production progress, staffing concerns, schedule risks, and customer delivery impact.
- Direct the production planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, sales mix, inventory requirements and materials availability.
- Plans day-to-day operations, assigns manpower, authorizes overtime and controls costs.
- Monitors production yields on a daily basis and make adjustments as necessary to maintain delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production, supply, sales, engineering and customer service to ensure production standards and goals are achieved.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures needed to achieve the business unit's strategic operating goals.
- Perform capacity planning for equipment, floor space and manpower requirements in accordance with forecasted workload.
- Actively participate in the business unit management team, assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience supporting general aviation business operations.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership and team management experience.
- Prior management experience working in an MRO environment.
Prior experience leading cross-functional maintenance teams across multiple shifts.
- Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, a related field, or comparable professional work experience.
- Specialized OEM, manufacturer, or technical training on turbofan corporate aircraft (Embraer, Falcon, Challenger, Gulfstream, Hawker).
- Management experience working in a corporate Part 145 Repair Station.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including aviation billing, cost controls, and contract compliance.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making skills and situational awareness.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
