The Role
Job Description SummaryAs the front-line leader, you will manage daily operations at our site in Peebles, OH to ensure reliability and consistency in shop operations. You'll have a direct impact on how we approach projects and improve processes. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you'll help set priorities and guide the team to success. While you'll follow established professional practices and policies, you'll also have the autonomy to make important operational decisions. This role requires sound judgement, leadership, and a passion for excellence in manufacturing operations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Openings include an operations leader for Development Test Preparation as well as an operations leader for Test Enabling Hardware.
  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees and operations. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
  • Implementation of FLIGHT DECK to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing operations
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
