The Role
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Lead to join the Human Data Annotation team in our Science organisation. The role is pivotal in accelerating research at Mistral AI and would be responsible for managing human data annotation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of contractor annotators, including:
Orchestrate day-to-day workload and priorities
Onboard and continuously train and support annotators
Collect and synthesise questions, feedback, updates to and from annotators
Monitor and flag capacity constraints and risks
Create materials for and actively contribute to the contractor recruitment process
Drive execution and communicate status of data annotation campaigns, including project setup, training, data generation, and data validation
Qualifications
Knowledge: Strong understanding of data collection operations
Skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously. Great communication and contractor management skills are also essential
Personal Attributes: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure. A proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
Nice to have:
Experience with data collection, annotation, and analysis
Experience in contractor management
Understanding of and/or interest in LLMsEmbraces hands-on, operational work
