Position Summary:

The Ops Lead Specialist, Client Account Profile, supports the supervisor in coordinating day-to-day workflow, maintaining productivity, and ensuring accurate and timely account setup and maintenance activities across the unit. This role combines specialized operational processing with team coordination responsibilities, including work distribution, production reporting, quality review, issue escalation, training support, and backup coverage. The Lead Specialist works closely with the Client Service Group and other Operations teams to deliver accurate account profile support, resolve inquiries, strengthen controls, and contribute to a consistent client and internal stakeholder experience.

Areas of Responsibility:

Workflow Management

  • Coordinate daily workflow, work distribution, prioritization, and resource allocation to ensure quality and timeliness standards are met.
  • Verify the setup of new accounts, changes to existing accounts, and closure of accounts that are no longer required.
  • Coordinate intraday and end-of-day prioritization, reconciliation, proof, and control activities.
  • Prepare and monitor daily production reporting, identify trends, and support productivity improvements.
  • Help ensure departmental deadlines, service expectations, and control requirements are met.

Problem Resolution

  • Monitor open inquiries and assist with timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Follow up with internal teams and stakeholders to obtain information, resolve breaks, and close outstanding items.
  • Interact with other BBH departments to support issue resolution, escalation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Identify, document, and escalate errors or control gaps to reduce operational risk and exposure.
  • Recommend solutions and update procedures, checklists, or job aids to reduce the risk of recurrence.
  • Communicate professionally and constructively to resolve issues and minimize client, business, and operational impact.

Quality Control

  • Review and verify team members’ work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedures.
  • Provide sign-off or approval where required by departmental controls.
  • Identify quality themes and provide timely feedback to managers and team members to support continuous improvement.

Training

  • Support onboarding and development of specialists by providing day-to-day guidance, knowledge sharing, and hands-on training.
  • Assist team members with daily activities and provide backup coverage when needed.
  • Maintain and enhance training materials, procedures, and job aids to promote consistency across the team.

Other

  • Use all tools, systems, and technology required to perform the role effectively.
  • Understand how Client Account Profile activities support broader Operations, business lines, and client service outcomes.
  • Contribute to departmental, divisional, or firmwide process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5–7 years of custody, securities processing, operations, or other relevant industry experience.
  • Prior experience coordinating workflow, supporting quality review, training others, or acting as a senior team resource is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of one or more Operations product areas and related processes.
  • Ability to perform technical responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and competence.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support the development of others.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and maintain a strong risk and control mindset.

Salary Range

NJ: $65,000 - $75,000 base salary + annual target bonus

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
