About You & the Role

Zipline’s delivery network depends on clear decisions, reliable operating data, and effective handoffs among Commercial, Operations, Product, Data, Finance, and field teams. As an Operations Ghostbuster, you will find recurring friction in those workflows and build practical systems that help teams execute.

This is an owner role, not a coordination role. You will prioritize problems by business impact, delivery-network risk, and operating priorities; diagnose root causes; ship fixes; and measure improvements in speed, conversion, decision quality, and execution reliability.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify high-impact bottlenecks in commercial, operations, and field workflows, including manual handoffs, unclear ownership, missing metrics, stalled decisions, and weak follow-through.
  • Prioritize workstreams using business impact, delivery-network risk, and operating priorities.
  • Turn ambiguous problems into scoped workstreams with accountable owners, milestones, operating mechanisms, and measurable success criteria.
  • Build dashboards, automations, trackers, and workflows that resolve immediate friction and can scale with the business.
  • Own workflow improvements end to end, from diagnosis and stakeholder alignment through implementation, iteration, adoption, and performance review.
  • Partner across Commercial, Operations, Product, Data, Finance, and field teams to improve execution across Zipline’s delivery network.
  • Use operating data to measure changes in cycle time, conversion, decision quality, follow-through, and execution performance.
What You’ll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience in operations, business operations, growth, GTM, strategic programs, product operations, revenue operations, logistics, marketplace operations, or a comparable execution environment.
  • 2–4 years in a high-growth technology, SaaS, marketplace, logistics, or similarly fast-moving company where you shipped work with tangible business impact.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn messy data into practical decisions, priorities, and measurable operating improvements.
  • Fluency with Salesforce, HubSpot, BI tools, spreadsheets, low-code automations, workflow systems, or internal operating dashboards.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority across sales, marketing, operations, product, data, finance, or field teams.
  • High agency and execution discipline; you move from diagnosis to action without waiting for perfect direction or substituting process for progress.
  • Ability to work in person from Zipline’s South San Francisco HQ and travel up to 25% to HQ or the field.
What Else You Need to Know

This will be an in-office role based out of our South San Francisco HQ. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time either to our HQ or into the Field.

The starting cash range for this role is $112,500 - $300,000; please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. We are always open to negotiation. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
