The Operations Finance Manager is responsible for overall finance support to the operations group. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, experience in a corporate accounting environment is preferred, and good interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and a minimum of 3 years of construction accounting experience

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Operations Leaders to ensure accurate, complete and timely data.
  • Partner with Operations Leaders and Finance Department to assist in management of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis.
  • Develops relationships with leaders, direct reports, and/or others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Active in ongoing improvement/innovation of processes, procedures and tools.
  • Analyze financial results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to leaders.
  • Identify project financial status (risk and opportunity) by analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining internal controls in financial reporting.
  • Assist in month-end financial close.
  • Monitor project cash flow (DSO, Over/Under Billing, Net Cash).
  • Accounting system development & maintenance.
  • Various reporting and analysis as requested by Operations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates an acceptance of the company culture (adhere to the company's core values) and an adoption of professional standards.
  • Demonstrates approachability and ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
