Position Summary 

The Operations Finance Manager is responsible for driving financial visibility and performance across CEC's field operations. This role partners directly with project and operations leadership to analyze field profitability, identify margin risks and opportunities, and translate financial data into actionable insights that support better decisions in the field.The Operations Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial health of the organization by conducting analyses, providing insights, and contributing to operational efficiency. This position involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure financial processes align with strategic goals.  

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. 

  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal financial controls. 

  • Communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner. 

  • Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision-making, such as cost-benefit analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modeling. 

  • Provide insights into key financial metrics and trends. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for operational improvement and cost optimization. 

  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency. 

  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets. 

  • Track budget versus actual performance and provide explanations for variances. 

  • Support the creation of accurate and timely financial forecasts. 

  • Work with stakeholders to gather relevant data for forecasting purposes. 

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for internal use. 

  • Ensure reports comply with accounting standards and present information in a clear and actionable format. 

  • Maintain and analyze financial data from various sources. 

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, identifying and rectifying discrepancies. 

  • Work closely with departments such as operations, procurement, and sales to understand their financial needs and challenges. 

  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making within various teams. 

  • Analyze costs associated with products, services, or projects. 

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. 

  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal financial controls. 

  • Communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner. 

  • Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department. 

Qualifications 
  • 4-6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, operational finance, or related roles. 
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools. 
Skills & Abilities 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems. 
Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. 
  • Requires mobility within an office environment.  
  • Regularly required to talk and hear. Effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including using the telephone.  
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
  • The employee may be required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and bend.  
  • May be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.   
  • Possess good hearing, normal or corrected.  
  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
  • The employee may be required to climb stairs.  
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night or weekend shifts, as needed.
