To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Operations Engineering Senior Manager located in Prai, Penang.
Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources in producing cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.
What a typical day looks like:
Participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.
Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
Directs the activities of engineers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
Interacts regularly with executives, customers and outside regulatory agencies.
Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.
Provides technical supplier management as related to product development and integration.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including broad based management and supervision.
- Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
