Operations Engineering Intern

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and cost modeling to support continuous improvement.
• Participate in Kaizen events and implement lean manufacturing tools (5S, visual management, standard work).
• Identify automation and improvement opportunities in manufacturing flow.

• Analyze process capability, stability, and performance in ongoing production.
• Support process design and optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to process validation and creation of technical documentation (work instructions, process specs).

• Assist with spare parts strategy development and asset lifecycle management.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university/college
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic understanding of data analysis tools
• Interest in manufacturing, automation, and process improvement
• Prior experience with Lean tools, CAD, or programming (PLC/HMI) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a plant environment
