The Operations Director will develop, implement and manage the operating budget and manufacturing plan which meets the total cost, quality and delivery needs of our customer:
- Develop and execute the long-term operations strategy to support business growth, scalability, operational excellence, and future manufacturing capacity.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish annual operating plans, capital investment priorities, operating budgets, and strategic business initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations leadership team through coaching, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Own facility performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, Productivity, and Employee Engagement, ensuring manpower, scheduling, quality, cost, and productivity objectives are achieved.
- Lead capital equipment, automation, manufacturing technology, and facility improvement initiatives to increase capacity, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives by eliminating waste, optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and partnering with Engineering and production teams to engineer product cost improvements.
- Develop and implement manufacturing quality systems and process control plans to ensure quality is built into products and manufacturing processes.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and other functional teams to achieve customer requirements and overall business objectives.
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, positive employee relations, and effective organizational communication.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to company strategy, business planning, organizational performance, and long-term success.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree required: Industrial or Mechanical degree preferred
- Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt Certified
- 10 years manufacturing management experience required
- Must possess a sound understanding of manufacturing processes including metal fabrication, painting and coating as well as low volume, high mix assembly
- Experience operating in an ERP environment, including MRP, rough cut capacity planning and production planning and scheduling
- Hands on experience using Lean Manufacturing tools and implementing continuous improvement plans on the factory floor highly desired
- Experience in First Responder or Safety focused OEM vehicle manufacturing environment highly desired
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lead through coaching and motivating and must inspire the trust of subordinates
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt Certification
- 10 years of manufacturing management experience
- Hands on experience with Electronics Manufacturing using Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA)
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes including metal fabrication and low volume, high mix assembly
- Experience operating in an ERP environment
- Hands on experience using Lean Manufacturing tools
- Experience in First Responder or Safety focused OEM vehicle manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead through coaching and motivating
