What You’ll Do
Reports directly to: CEO Europe with indirect reporting to COO Global Operations.
Dotted-line relationships: Global Supply Chain, Transportation, Procurement, Customer Operations, Quality, and Safety
The Operations Director-Europe is responsible for driving operational excellence across Packsize’s EBU (European Business Unit). The person in this position ensures efficient, safe, and sustainable delivery of Packsize’s on-demand packaging machines, spare parts and technology solutions. The role oversees end-to-end operations, from production and logistics to customer operations, while working closely with global functional leaders to align EU execution with global corporate standards and strategy.
Lead day-to-day operations across Packsize’s EBU.
Develop and execute regional operational strategies that support growth, efficiency, and sustainability objectives.
Ensure operational readiness for new market entries and product launches.
Translates company strategy into actionable operational plans.
Maintains regulatory compliance (e.g., GMP, ISO, safety standards).
Identifies operational risks and builds mitigation plans.
Optimizes workflows, improves efficiency, and reduces costs.
Manages operational budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
Ensures operations stay within financial targets.
Leads scale-up projects, new facility launches, new product introductions, or supply chain expansion.
Cross-functional oversight of supply chain, transportation, procurement, customer operations, quality and safety teams and possibly service teams as well.
Establish KPIs for productivity, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Report operational performance to CEO/COO and recommend improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with EU and local regulations (labor, environmental, safety, etc.).
Lead and develop a multi-country team of employees in different roles and teams.
Foster collaboration between regional teams and global functional leaders.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
Completed degree in business administration or a related field
10 years of similar experience desired in the role
Experience with international teams, transformational business changes and scale ups
Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality, and strong communication skills with the ability to drive and engage teams
Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to build a high-performing and sustainable team
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail (data driven)

Ability to challenge established working practices in a practical and engaging way
Proven commercial aptitude and a track record of contributing to the management and development of a successful business
Previous experience in change management within an evolving environment
Experience driving operational excellence

Familiarity with financial metrics and business performance to be ready for future P&L responsibilities.

This is a critical leadership role requiring a strategic and operational director with strong business acumen, someone capable of identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering on ambitious growth targets.
The Operations Director Europe will be responsible for delivering annual operational plan commitments, driving sustainable growth and operational excellence, and building a high-performing regional organization aligned with Packsize global vision and mission.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in strategy development with a proven ability to align operations with business goals to achieve measurable results. They must be a growth-oriented leader with a bias for action, able to lead change and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.
