About the Organization
SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations Group is a global team operating in over 20 countries, providing essential support to key business lines including Markets, Services, and Wealth Management. We provide an array of services to enable client lifecycle transactions; from relationship establishment, supporting the data demands surrounding instruments and delivering non-financial reporting to our regulators.
The Operations Optimization & Enablement Team, within SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations, is responsible for the execution of strategic change initiatives, including:
- Developing and implementing Gen AI solutioning strategies in partnership with Technology
- Driving transformative change initiatives across the organization
What you’ll do
The DRO Design Authority Team is accountable for management of incoming people, process, and technology changes impacting Data and Regulatory operations. The role holder will:
- Review Design Authority requests for completeness and work with each team to ensure impact analysis is clear
- Represent DRO if engaging with stakeholders, ensuring that the organization has a voice at the table
- Prepare presentations to bring submission forward for senior management approval
- Generate reporting to seniors and Finance on request status and impact per request
- Tracking the status of requests from the time of intake through to approval and implementation, working within DRO and cross-functionally
- May be responsible for the day-to-day management of execution against milestones and budget on one or more projects. Assess creation and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
- Engage stakeholders across product and functional domains to drive transformative changes
- Apply knowledge of Regulatory Reporting and Data concepts and procedures to resolve issues and complete required analysis
- Appropriately assess and escalate risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
What we’ll need from you
- Extensive experience in project management roles, specifically within Operations
- Highly-organized and adaptable professional
- Proficient and with a strong track record of managing project scope, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control ensuring compliance with project management governance
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business, operations, technology and compliance, including those at senior levels
- Ability to rationalize and work through organizational change. Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas
- Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
- Minimum 10 years experience
