Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term

Duration:3 years

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday

The Company

SPADE is a not-for-profit Enterprise Centre that works to assist local people and food producers to build businesses by offering an inclusive, supportive and nurturing community.

Our Shared Kitchen provides 6,600 square feet of culinary production facilities that can accommodate multiple clients simultaneously and is dedicated to growing early-stage wholesale, retail and/or catering food businesses.

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a passionate operations coordinator for our shared kitchen space. The successful candidate will provide an excellent environment for our entrepreneurs while ensuring our shared kitchen space runs smoothly.

In this role, you will

1. Operations & Facility Management

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and facility standards.

  • Monitor equipment, cold storage, cleaning, waste, utilities, and maintenance.

  • Manage bookings, workspace allocation, and operational requirements.

  • Coordinate suppliers, service providers, and contractors.

  • Act as key holder and respond to operational issues as required.

2. Member Support

  • Serve as the primary contact for members.

  • Manage onboarding, communications, and facility support.

  • Resolve operational issues and maintain a positive member experience.

  • Support compliance with kitchen procedures and standards.

3. Maintenance & Cleaning

  • Manage cleaning programmes and standards.

  • Coordinate maintenance activities and contractor services.

  • Ensure issues are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly.

4. Food Safety & Compliance

  • Support implementation of food safety and quality systems.

  • Maintain records, audits, inspections, and operational procedures.

  • Provide guidance to members on compliance requirements.

5. Health & Safety

  • Maintain health and safety systems, checks, and records.

  • Support risk assessments and corrective actions.

  • Oversee security, alarm, fire, and emergency procedures.

6. Administration & Reporting

  • Monitor operational costs, supplies, and facility performance.

  • Maintain booking, member, and operational records.

  • Prepare operational reports and updates for management.

7. Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Support member networking, events, training, and community initiatives.

  • Assist with marketing content, member communications, and promotional activities.

Who you are

  • Experience in food, hospitality, production, or shared workspace operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and operational systems.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and contribute positively as part of a team.

  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
