Job Description
The Dubbing Coordinator for Latin America will oversee the dubbing process for Universal Pictures' films and other media content in the Latin American markets. This role involves coordinating with dubbing studios, managing project timelines, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with regional standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • PROJECT COORDINATION: FEATURE
    • In charge of the LAS and BPO titles approval process providing HO the guidelines for review.
    • Coordinate the dubbing process from project initiation to final delivery working closely with dubbing studios to ensure completion on time and within budget.
    • Plan and approve schedules with dubbing studios and other localization vendors based on materials delivery times provided by the studio and filmmakers considering release date and marketing plans.
    • Create purchase orders for vendors involved in the dubbing process following up with finance and reporting costs accordingly.
    • Report dubbing activities, schedules, and costs in HO formats.


    2. PROJECT COORDINATION: TRAILERS

    • In charge of the localization, ordering and delivery of trailers. Maintain version control of trailers, tracking changes, edits, and updates throughout the process in all trailer platforms.
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing and media teams to determine the trailers and versions for upcoming releases.
    • Plan and allocate budgets based on the marketing and media release strategies.
  • QUALITY CONTROL
    • On site revision and approval of content delivered by dubbing studios and localizing vendors; considering quality standards and requests from the studio and filmmakers; coordinating casting, directing, and recording sessions.
    • Review dubbed content to ensure synchronization, voice performance, linguistic and cultural accuracy.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Get involved in performance and quality metrics for further decision-making.
  • TALENT MANAGEMENT
    • Support operations and marketing teams when working with star talent. Help defining recording dates, collaborate with contracts and assignment deeds elaboration.
    • Assist in selecting voice actors and directors for dubbing projects.
    • Coordinate contracts and negotiations with talent and studios.
    • Maintain a database of voice talents and dubbing professionals.
  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
    • Ensure all dubbed content complies with regional regulations and standards.
    • Submit necessary documentation and materials to regulatory bodies for approval when required.
    • Work closely in the DEI dubbing project.
    • Implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality in the dubbing process.


    Qualifications
    Qualifications:

    • 2 to 3 years of experience and studies in film, communications, marketing and dubbing project management.
    • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality localized content.
    • Excellent use of Spanish, able to translate from English to Spanish and vice versa, while keeping literary intent. Portuguese is a plus.
    • Proficient in prioritizing tasks.
    • Advanced linguistic and grammatical skills in English and Spanish is a must, Portugues is desire
    • Familiarity with dubbing software, audio engineering, and post-production processes.
    • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office suite.
    • SAP proficient.
