On behalf of our client, Elpedison, we are looking to recruit an Operations Controller.

We are currently seeking an Operations Controller to oversee the company’s business and financial operations, contributing directly to its economic performance and strategic goals. The candidate will be responsible for conducting financial and operational analyses, developing financial planning processes, monitoring the overall cost structure, and designing comprehensive business plans. This position requires proven expertise in controlling disciplines, including financial reporting, data analysis, cost management, and operational optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages project and operational budgets in collaboration with operations managers.
  • Prepares financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning.
  • Monitors budget adherence and analyzes variances to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Tracks actual vs budgeted costs and prepares detailed cost reports.
  • Conducts variance analysis and proposes corrective actions to stay within budget.
  • Supports cost-reduction initiatives and promotes lean operational practices.
  • Analyzes KPIs and operational metrics to identify cost drivers and performance bottlenecks.
  • Delivers monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Supports investment decisions through ROI and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance and assists with internal and external audits.
  • Maintains and enhances ERP and financial systems to ensure accurate cost tracking, data integrity, and efficient reporting.

Requirements
  • BSc in Finance, Engineering or related field.
  • MSc in a relevant field will be considered as an asset.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position, in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of controlling, financial analysis, forecasting, investment appraisal, cost control & optimization.
  • Certifications as ACCA and/or CFA will be considered a plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of SAP ERP modules (CO/PA, PS) and CRM applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Advanced analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative and influential team player.
  • Results-driven with a proactive, hands-on approach.
