Job Overview:
As an Operations Associate, you will be a vital part of a scaled services team responsible for ensuring the smooth execution and management of critical backend operational workflows that support various business functions, including Engineering and Data. This role requires a process-oriented individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This team is unique as it interacts with all of our end users (partners, learners, and clients), requiring a strong customer-centric approach in addition to keen critical thinking skills.
- Operational Execution: Execute and manage key, high-volume operational tasks and processes with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Workflow Support: Own the support and scaling of existing operational workflows, acting as a crucial interface between business needs and engineering execution.
- Data Oversight: Handle data-related requests, perform initial data checks, and ensure data integrity within operational processes.
- Process Improvement & Project Management: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, document workflows, and manage small to medium-sized internal projects aimed at process optimization.
- Multitasking & Organization: Leverage strong organizational skills and project management ability to successfully simultaneously work on several different tasks with competing priorities.
- Stakeholder Focus: This team is unique as it touches all of our end users (partners, learners, and clients) and requires a strong customer-centric approach to work, in addition to keen critical thinking skills and process orientation.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Execution: Execute and manage high-volume, time-sensitive operational tasks and processes with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness across various systems.
- Workflow Support: Own the support, maintenance, and scaling of existing operational workflows, acting as a crucial functional bridge between business needs and engineering execution.
- Data Oversight: Handle data-related requests, perform initial data quality checks and validation, and ensure data integrity within operational processes.
- Project Management & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, document new and existing workflows clearly, and manage small to medium-sized internal projects aimed at optimization.
- Task Management: Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously work on several different tasks with competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Enterprise, Content) to execute workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement process changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 0-2 years of professional experience, ideally in a fast-paced Operations, data entry, or administrative role that involved technical or data-related workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage time effectively and successfully simultaneously work on several different tasks with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated aptitude and interest in technical operations, backend systems, and data handling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with key operational tools, including JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and/or Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative/analytical field.
- Experience with project management methodologies or supporting cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with database concepts or basic data querying (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Prior experience working with or supporting Engineering or Data Science teams.
