Burns & Wilcox is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Associate to join our growing team supporting London-based commercial and personal lines contracts. This role is vital in ensuring smooth back-end operations, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across our contract portfolio.


This position offers exposure to international insurance operations, risk management processes, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Manage forms, contract changes, and new/renewal entries into C1 or equivalent systems
  • Provide assistance across both Commercial and Personal Lines teams when needed with similar policy and contract administration tasks
  • Maintain and update centralized filing systems for all slips, endorsements, and related documents across Commercial and Personal Lines
  • Assist with ad hoc compliance queries, collaborating with internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Manage external audit queries and collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance. Working with both London Practice and Compliance team.
  • Inspect files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and market regulations.
  • Perform branch internal audits to ensure compliance with expected standards.
  • Monitor and report on aggregate exposures and risk-level data across contracts
  • Monitor and respond to Resource Pro (or equivalent) queries
  • Support team with ad hoc reporting needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Insurance, Business, Risk Management, or related field
  • Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or contract administration preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, include Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Understanding of London Market practices is a plus
