THE ROLE
The Office Operations Specialist will have a passionate focus on delivering a workplace that aligns with Nordic’s maxims and high-performing culture. Success in this role requires strong ability to: plan and organize, independently solve problems, effectively serve and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and the ability to recall information quickly to make informed decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Office Operations Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
§ Serving as the lead of daily office operations, including collaborating with and overseeing vendor partners, overseeing office maintenance activities, and planning and executing office events
§ Acting as a trusted partner and wayfinder; building relationships with vendors, business leaders and team members to enhance the workplace experience
§ Leading small to medium projects in support of departmental objectives
§ Creating, planning and executing communications that engage and support the employee experience
§ Collaborating with internal team members to continually enhance processes and workflows to improve the workplace experience, facilities and departmental operations
§ Procuring and monitoring office inventory
§ Participating in the planning and execution of Nordic’s culture and branding initiatives
§ Maintaining a knowledge of facilities management best practices and trends to enable workforce productivity while balancing cost considerations
§ Serving departmental teams with other support and enablement activities as needed
§ Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
§ Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
§ Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
§ 3+ years of administrative support in a professional office setting required; prior experience in facilities or office management strongly preferred
§ Experience leading projects and supporting an exceptional workplace experience
§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
§ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computers, email, correspondence, and spreadsheets
§ Self-starter who pays attention to the details, works well under pressure and has ability to meet deadlines while monitor one’s own work product
§ Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment
