Job Summary: 

Provide assistance to branch Operations department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls into the Operations department
  • Communicate with van operators regarding delivery information on shipments
  • Update van operations regarding changes with shipment delivery
  • Update Movers Suite
  • Generate reports as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Skills Required:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; and the ability to learn and effectively use enterprise software such as move management software; and the ability to learn and effectively use software for timekeeping and related functions. Must have strong data entry skills.
