About Employment Plus 

Employment Plus is Pinsent Masons’ specialist consultancy practice, providing a range of people-focused services beyond traditional employment law. Our services include investigations, HR consultancy, mediations, coaching, training, EDI consultancy and organisational development support. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the practice. 

 

The Role 

The Operations Assistant will play a key role in supporting the operational, commercial and administrative activities of Employment Plus. Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider consultant team, you will help ensure that projects, investigations, training programmes, business development activity and knowledge resources are delivered efficiently and professionally. 

 

Operations 

  • Provide support to the Operations Manager. 
  • Coordinate with the team PA and coordinator. 
  • Update internal documentation (flyers, precedent slides etc).
  • Liaising with various internal teams.
  • Respond to or delegate consultant queries.
  • Support resource planning and administration.
  • Help support project management.
  • Create Business Development and client facing materials as needed.
  • Draft monthly client newsletters.
  • Help maintain knowledge resources and precedent materials.

 

Consultancy Work

  • Attend investigation meetings as a note taker and draft witness meeting minutes.
  • Build investigation bundles and appendices. 
  • Support the drafting of investigation reports. 
  • Send meeting invitations and coordinating logistics for client projects.
  • Conduct research and providing administrative support. 
  • Maintaining the investigations precedent library. 
  • Build training sessions from precedent decks and session plans.
  • Draft speaker notes.
  • Maintain training precedents and learning materials. 
  • Drive slides during training delivery. 
  • Set up and manage MS Teams polls, breakout rooms and Slido polls prior to and during delivery.

 

Business Development 

  • Support the Employment Plus LinkedIn page and monthly EDI awareness dates.
  • Remind and prompt team members to publish LinkedIn content.
  • Research and draft Out-Law articles.
  • Creating and maintaining flyers and marketing collateral.
  • Uploading and maintaining credentials and case studies.


What We’re Looking For 

  • Someone with an interest in HR, Culture and EDI principles and practices. 
  • Experience of working in a similar role in professional services.
  • Many aspects of this role will be confidential (requiring us to sign NDAs with our clients) and the individual will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and act with diplomacy, tact and discretion at all times.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent drafting skills and strong accuracy in written work.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of proactivity and initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and at times to very tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and with limited supervision.
  • Calm, methodical approach.

Skills Required

  • Interest in HR, culture and EDI principles and practices
  • Experience working in a similar role in professional services
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and discretion (NDAs)
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams (including polls and breakout rooms) and Slido
  • Excellent drafting skills and strong accuracy in written work
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail, proactivity and initiative
