The role
The Operations and Resourcing Manager plays a key role in resource allocation, capacity planning and overall delivery of a quality service, driving operational excellence and maximising efficiency, through effective use of processes, tools and metrics. This role involves collaboration across the Workday EMEA practice teams, in order to deliver effective resourcing to meet Strada’s contractual Client service commitments.
Responsibilities
As a Resource Manager:
- Support coordination and collaboration with Global Resource Management Team, and EMEA CDS Resource Management Lead to facilitate resource planning across the practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Enablement Managers (EM), Project Managers (PM), Practice Area (PALs) and Functional Leads, to assess AMS support and project staffing needs for existing and prospective new clients, based on their skills, experience, and availability.
- Ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet project timelines and requirements, aligning staffing priorities to staffing capacity.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential resource shortages or conflicts.
- Analyze current processes in place, and operational metrics. Inform, develop, and recommend strategy to senior management based on an evaluation of business needs.
- Conduct regular reviews and make recommendations for process improvement, including new processes and best use of software tools for resource management, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
As an Operations Manager:
- Lead and drive AMS Operational process documentation and improvement.
- Being responsible for maintenance, review and improvements to AMS team JIRA operating processes and procedures.
- Being primary escalation point for JIRA tooling issues and escalations raised by internal AMS team or Clients.
- Co-ordination of JIRA enhancement requests from the AMS team and attendance as key stakeholder at Global JIRA Governance cadence meetings.
- Support internal onboarding and induction of new AMS team members.
- Assist with coordination and resourcing of bi-annual Workday Release Cycles.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and implement effective resource management strategies.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve operational and resource related issues in timely fashion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
- Client delivery focused, striving to deliver excellent services.
- Proven experience in resource management, project management, or a related position.
- General understanding of forecasting and modeling techniques.
- Background in developing partnerships with business leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience in technology projects and implementations.
- Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP) certification is a plus.
