Operations Analyst – Operations (Private Capital)

Role Overview
The Operations Analyst supports the Atlantic broking teams throughout the policy lifecycle. As a member of the Operations team, the candidate coordinates with brokers and various cross-functional departments to ensure all best practices are followed and service-level agreements are met according to internal standards. This role will be based in our New York City office (on-site with some opportunity for remote work).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to brokers, operations, finance, legal, and compliance teams throughout policy lifecycle.
- Apply knowledge of the insurance rules and regulations in each state and insurance product Atlantic offers, as well as general insurance best practices to review and validate policy information.
- Complete carrier and state surplus lines forms, applying policy information, checking for accuracy, and returning completed form to clients, Atlantic brokers, or insurers/MGAs, as applicable.
- Follow up with clients and insurers to satisfy policy conditions during post-bind, closing, and post-closing processes to ensure file completeness. Proactively chase for documents ahead of due dates.
- Review and negotiate client Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Draft and distribute NDA Joinder Agreements to insurers, and Non Reliance Letters (NRL's) to Due Diligence providers, summarizing and consolidating proposed changes, and collaborating with brokers for review.
- Ensure data accuracy, including adhering to Quality Assurance requirements validating accuracy of systems entries, and keeping files up to date when accounts are bound or lost.
- Perform KYC checks on prospective clients.
- Develop an understanding of internal standards as well as regulatory requirements to adhere to compliance requirements.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-5 years’ experience. Experience in a related field preferred.
- General understanding of insurance and surplus lines rules and requirements preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of an organization.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
