Who is Flock?

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation.

We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Operations Analyst to be the operational backbone of our Airframes team, dedicated to achieving maximum efficiency and control over our parts, inventory, and material flow. You will be the central communication hub, ensuring that all teams—from Engineering to Procurement to Production—have real-time, accurate information about what parts we have, where they are, and when they will arrive.

This role is a unique chance to transition a fast-growing, complex operation from reactive management to a proactive, reliable system. You will be instrumental in creating and maintaining the single, accurate source of truth for all material-related data, directly enabling our engineers and assembly teams to build and deploy our cutting-edge technology without interruption.

The Skillset

We're looking for people with:

  • 1–3 years of experience in an inventory, logistics, materials, or operations support role, ideally within a hardware, manufacturing, or defense-related company.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, or advanced tracking spreadsheets) and the ability to maintain high data accuracy (target 98% or better).

  • A proven ability to create clear, simple Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for complex, multi-step processes like receiving, issuing, and returns.

  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to serve as a hub of information, translating material status into actionable updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • An analytical and proactive mindset, capable of not just executing tasks but identifying trends in inventory burn rate, shortages, and system gaps before they cause issues.

  • Hands-on experience with physical inventory management, including labeling, cycle counting, staging, and maintaining an organized warehouse or production floor.

  • Proficiency with modern tools like Google Suite (Sheets/Excel power user highly preferred), Slack, and experience with, or a quick ability to learn, an ERP system.

  • A high degree of humility, organization, and a commitment to detail, recognizing that accurate tracking is the foundation of the entire team’s success.

  • A willingness to be hands-on and on the production floor daily.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe 90 day plans and believe that good days lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the warehouse layout, current inventory systems (BOMs, spreadsheets, etc.), and material flow.

  • Shadow key teams (Engineering, Procurement, Assembly) and perform a full physical inventory count to identify and document current accuracy issues and communication bottlenecks.

  • Take ownership of assisting with all incoming shipments, verifying part numbers, quantities, and documentation to ensure initial data integrity.

The First 60 Days

  • Take full, hands-on management of all part movements (receiving, issuing, returns), maintaining a real-time inventory system with a target of at least 98% accuracy.

  • Track open orders and delivery timelines, and establish the process for communicating any material shortages or delays to assembly leads before they impact the weekly build schedule.

  • Create and begin publishing a shared, weekly report or dashboard summarizing inventory status, open orders, and critical shortages used by the wider Airframes team.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Finalize and ensure adoption of a consistent system and standardized documentation (e.g., part naming) that is trusted and actively used by Engineering, Procurement, and Assembly.

  • Document and formally implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all material handling, including receiving, issuing, returns, and cycle counting.

  • Analyze the first two months of data to identify key trends and deliver recommendations to Procurement and Engineering to measurably reduce part shortages and untracked movements.

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $60,000-$70,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.

Location

This role is based in Atlanta Georgia, where you’ll join our dynamic team to collaborate in person and drive innovation. Candidates must reside in or relocate to Georgia for this position.
