Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily trade settlement and corporate actions workflow across multiple asset classes.
- Corporate actions and amendment voting, including restructures.
- Fixed Income settlements, trade affirmation / confirmation.
- Manage operational activities surrounding exits and restructures.
- Counterparty and Vendor oversight.
- Work with clients and across teams on position and cash reconciliation processes.
- Respond to the needs of clients and other third parties, while collaborating with the respective internal teams.
- Develop strong partnerships with external counterparties.
- Manage and maintain performance targets and quality control metrics.
- Complies and enforces standard policies and procedures.
- Assist with training and preparing training documentation as needed.
- Work hours may extend beyond the standard schedule during peak periods, such as month-end and quarter-end.
- Work can average 45-50 hours per week.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel required.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for current or future sponsorship.
Skills
- Strong understanding of corporate bonds, CLOs, ABS and private credit instruments and their life cycle management including settlements and trade support.
- Expertise with Corporate Actions: tenders, calls, mergers, stock splits, Dutch auction, bankruptcy exchanges etc.
- Proven ability to manage a large volume of work in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be detail oriented with exceptional research, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, and challenge-seeker.
- Experience using DTC Alert and DTC CTM a plus.
- Loan administration and settlements experience is a plus.
- Experience using LendAmend, Solvas and/or WSO a plus.
