Description of Work
Salary Range: $65,607 - $98,412The position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work.

We currently have an opening for an Operations Analyst.
NC Department of Information Technology is seeking an Operations Analyst for our Eastern Data Center. This role is a key part of the operations team, supporting and maintaining the critical network infrastructure and systems for the State of North Carolina. The ideal candidate is someone who can collaborate effectively with a team while also working independently on assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update our DCIM and AIM systems to ensure an accurate catalog of data center assets and network infrastructure
• Monitor data center environmental controls
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external agency customers
• Commission and decommission equipment as needed
• Maintain and update processes and procedures to ensure consistent data center operations
About the Division:
The Security and Safety (S&S) division within the Department of Information Technology is responsible for providing leadership and central authority over information management activities and for planning, managing, and providing information resources and services from a statewide perspective and ensure that information technologies are both technically compatible and help achieve the State’s overall information processing goals.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Preferred experience with DCIM and AIM software
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer science engineering or a closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution;
Or
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area;
Or
Associate degree in computer information technology, computer engineering technology or networking technology from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
