Join Morgan Stanley’s Firm Risk Management (FRM) team and play a key role in strengthening non-financial risk governance across a global organization. As an Operational  Risk Governance Manager, you will lead risk oversight, governance, and reporting activities while partnering with stakeholders across Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Business Management to enhance the Firm’s risk management framework.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Lead the execution and continuous enhancement of the non-financial risk governance framework across Firm Risk Management

  • Oversee key risk programs, including Risk Assessments, Issues & Actions Management, Operational Risk Incidents, and Control Governance

  • Identify emerging risk themes, perform targeted analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders

  • Deliver impactful risk reporting and insights that support informed decision-making and strengthen risk awareness

  • Represent FRM in firmwide risk forums and contribute to the evolution of risk management practices

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Business teams to promote a strong risk and control culture

  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while driving high-quality execution and continuous improvement

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Operational Risk, Governance, Compliance, Internal Audit, or Controls

  • Strong understanding of risk governance frameworks and non-financial risk management practices

  • Experience managing regulatory or audit-related reviews and stakeholder interactions

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proven ability to lead projects, influence outcomes, and drive change across organizations

  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for building effective governance and risk management practices
