Position Overview

Support the overall operational risk program with a focus on reputational risk and operational due diligence by analyzing business transactions, external materials, and internal processes to evaluate risks and the effectiveness of established controls.
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
• Gather and analyze company, sector, product, key person, etc. reputational risk information from third-party vendors, deal teams, client meetings, and due diligence materials. Evaluate the firm’s exposure across corruption, fraud, litigation, regulatory, and conflicts of interest risks, with prompt escalation of concerns. Be able to document summary of findings in a succinct memo for business/risk review.
• Assist in overseeing the operational due diligence and reputational risk processes to ensure established procedures are followed, documented, and logged. This includes making sure Risk and Business Leads have properly reviewed audit/operational due diligence scopes and sampling requirements, and that any non-compliance with policies/procedures are escalated
• Apply investigative judgment to probe beneath the surface of reputational and due diligence results or findings, identify inconsistencies, take a contrarian view, ask questions, and follow open issues through to resolution. Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk Leads and Business Deal Captains/Owners.
• Support execution of risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across processes, systems, and business activities
• Coordinate across key stakeholders to consolidate regulatory, financial crimes, background, and forensic inputs into cohesive analysis supporting the deal approval process.
• Analyze risk, control, and operational data using Salesforce (Fusion Risk Management), Snowflake, Tableau, and AI tools to develop dashboards and provide management insights
• Prepare clear, concise reporting and presentation materials to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders
 
Qualifications and Experience
 
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, risk, or compliance, with exposure to financial transactions and operational risk including reputational risk and operational due diligence functions; knowledge of structured products/ABS risk is a plus
• Experience with KYC, sanctions, conflicts, litigation, or regulatory risk in the context of specific transaction structures
• Strong analytical, research, and investigative skills, including the ability to probe complex information, identify inconsistencies, and follow issues through to resolution
• Demonstrated experience preparing materials for and participating in risk approval committees, conflict committees, new product approval committees, or similar governance forums.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, identify key themes, develop practical recommendations, and drive resolution while operating effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and attention to detail
• Self-starter who can work in a near-shore location with expectation of a camera on / in-office policy
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting and data tools such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, and Fusion Risk Management, as well as AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Rogo
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Intellectual curiosity, high integrity, and a collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and seniority levels

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
