The Operational Excellence Analyst will drive and support key process enhancement initiatives across various functions by identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is instrumental in aligning people, priorities, and systems through operational rigor. Operational Excellence Analysts are enablers of empowered AI-augmented teams who help deliver scalable, customer-centric excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Support, identify and implement process improvement opportunities across business functions using lean and data-driven approaches.
- Support AI-First Ways-of-Working to be embedded into standard workflows across the enterprise.
- Work closely with various departments and champions to support operationalization of new AI use case implementations.
- Promote AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, accelerate decision-making, and boost creativity.
- Foster a culture of rapid learning, experimentation, and innovation in process transformation.
- Align operational initiatives with strategic goals through data insights and performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with teams to scale process improvements and ensure consistent, standardized execution.
- Create and maintain current- and future-state process flows, value stream maps, and departmental KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement workshops, root cause analysis, and other process improvement activities.
- Evaluate and implement RPA solutions to automate routine workflows where applicable.
- Perform detailed process study, GAP Analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on execution, scalability, and value delivery.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience in ROI calculations (tangible & non-tangible).
- Expertise in:
- Value Stream Mapping
- Flow Charts and Process Flow Diagrams using Lucidchart, Visio etc.
- Root Cause Analysis (Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- SOP, Work Instruction & Guidance document development and process documentation.
- Familiarity with:
- AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot),
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms such as UiPath & SharePoint.
- Good ‘requirement gathering and documentation’ skills.
- Strong problem-solving, system / critical-thinking mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- 4–6 years of experience in process development, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or business process transformation is mandatory.
- Experience working in the life sciences domain is preferred.
- Exposure to software/technology organizations or professional services environments is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green belt / Black belt) certification is a plus.
- Power Automate & Power BI experience / exposure is a plus.
