An Operational Engineer is responsible for partnering closely with the Software Development teams to ensure software output is operationally sound before releasing the software into a production environment. Operational Engineers prepare software for installation by running diagnostic tests and monitoring/configuring the software as needed during the testing cycle to ensure minimal impact as software is released into the production environment. This role ensures that all systems and equipment are running efficiently, effectively, and safely to support the organization's objectives.

- A Bachelor's degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience with over 8 years of experience in Software Development.
- Strong experience in backend technologies .Net C#
- Cloud experience in AWS services for compute/store/networking, microservices and containerization, preferably AWs-certified
- Experience in REST HTTP2
- Experience in Postman
- Observability / Logging/tracing
- Enterprise Architecture exposure/certification in TMF eTOm or other
- Terraform / Azure DevOps / CICD pipelines
- SafeAgile experience
- Understanding of Telecom/Wireless OSS/BSS Architecture / Design / Delivery Expertise
- Knowledge of Fulfilment/Assurance and Billing, MNP business processes
- Experience in catalog/order management/rating/billing/invoicing/treatment/MNP areas and real-time charging.
- Experience in standards such as TMF, 3GPP, Enterprise Architecture, and DevOps.
- Strong design skills with the ability to document the designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular monitoring and health checks within the telecom billing system, focusing on both IT and business operations.
- Reference the Known Issues database to identify potential problem areas.
- Raise Problem Defects (PDs) based on monitoring results and health checks.
- Investigate and resolve configuration-related incidents efficiently.
- Implement restoration procedures for known issues to ensure service continuity.
- Deliver configuration service requests and changes, including tariff updates, rating adjustments, product modifications, and price plan configurations.
- Generate and analyze business operations reports to provide insights and ensure optimal performance.
Business Operations Responsibilities:
- Manage revenue recognition processes.
- Oversee QA bill runs and ensure quality assurance throughout the billing cycle.
- Execute bill runs and manage the bill signoff process.
Qualifications:
- Telecom domain expertise, particularly in Order Management, Catalog, Rating and Billing, Invoicing, or a combination of these areas, is essential.
- Experience with SaaS applications running on cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
