As the Operational Business Technology student at Irving Oil, you will help ensure that IT solutions are consistently implemented and fully supported for our business stakeholders. These solutions are designed to be reliable and meet business requirements. In the role you will be exposed to a variety of tasks such as reviewing, troubleshooting, and fixing low to moderate complexity issues in IT solutions. This role requires excellent communication with stakeholders and our vendors to ensure alignment, resolve issues, optimize existing solutions, or scope future enhancements.

Your Skills:
Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to problem solve low to moderate complexity hardware and/or software issues.
Ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills, time management and organizational skills
Ability and willingness to be mentored by more experienced team members
Aptitude to embrace and comfortable with ongoing change in technology (hardware and software)
Self-motivated; ability to work independently
Your Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or IT related program
Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
