Schedule: 8:15am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Location: Fully Remote

HOW YOU'LL WORK:
The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for change payor workflow, coordinating new referrals or discharges related to payor changes, conducting chart reviews and managing new referral coordination for JV patients during the EMR transition. Additionally, they provide support to the Clinical Field Staff Liaison team when a business need arises.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 

  • Manages change payor workflow for assigned markets.

  • Coordination of new referrals into SPARC for Change Payor and Joint Venture EMR transition.

  • Collaborates with agencies on change payor, discharge planning for patients without a continued skilled need, etc.

  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to obtain new home health orders and valid Face-to-face documentation.

  • Provides support for Clinical Field Staff Liaison workflows as needed, ensuring they align with licensure requirements.

  • Ability to create positive impressions and communicate with a variety of people.

  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and co-workers.

  • Participates in training and scheduled meetings.

  • Completes yearly self-evaluations in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.

  • Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions.

  • Problem solving and create solutions to drive to a course of action.

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

  • 1+ year of Home Health Experience Required.

  • Maintains active nursing license in all states where ASHN provides services.

  • Experienced in entering referrals into SPARC and troubleshooting challenges with referral coordination preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal. Includes active listening, using clear and concise language, and confidence when communicating with team members, agency and organizational leaders, physicians, etc.
