Manager, Operations
Position Summary
Under the general direction of the General Manager. Responsible for overall, control and management of all activities within the manufacturing and logistical operations. Develops and sustains a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing facilities.
Principle Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding the Tecomet Quality Management System (QMS). Effectively maintains quality system.
- Develop manufacturing and operational strategic plans and oversee their implementation.
- Responsible for formulating policies, programs, and objectives affecting the schedule, quality, and cost of manufactured products.
- Responsible for assuring on-time-delivery as committed to our customers.
- Directing and co-coordinating production according to quality and quantity specifications within cost objectives.
- Oversee machine and facilities maintenance and repair and develops a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
- Responsible for the implementation of a continuous improvement program as an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. Constantly evaluate and improve processes in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility.
- Provide strong leadership to the employees at the plants, ensuring high morale, teamwork, and good employee relations.
- Ensure that all health and safety rules and procedures are following under Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and company’s guideline and policy.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinates.
- Inspecting work areas, products, and employee work habits regularly when work onsite.
- In liaison with the Human Resource Department, appraise performance of subordinates.
- Must be flexible with work schedule.
- Success criteria will be reviewed quarterly. Metrics include, OTD, customer lot acceptance, scrap, rework, inventory, payroll as a percent of sales, adherence to 5S and continuous improvement savings.
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior management or supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience/Educational/Training Preferred:
- Working knowledge of EN ISO 13485 preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Lean techniques including 5S and Kaizen.
- Maintain a high-quality consciousness.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others at all levels; requires strong training and team building qualities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication skills written, verbal and presentation.
- Excellent organizational skills; documentation.
