Operating Engineer

We’re looking for a dedicated Operating Engineer to help ensure our facility’s refrigeration systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably — keeping our warehouse running and our products at just the right temperature.

Shift: Monday to Friday — 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
On-Call Rotation: 1 week out of every 3

What You'll Do

• Lead by example to promote a strong safety culture across the facility.

• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems.

• Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

• Support and improve preventative maintenance programs to prevent equipment downtime.

• Monitor and adjust systems to reduce energy consumption and utility costs.

• Be part of an on-call rotation (1 week every 3) to handle system alarms and ensure 24/7 protection of refrigerated product.

• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and workplace safety.

• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role (industrial or warehouse environment preferred).

• Practical experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred).

• A valid Class B (MMF) Refrigeration Operator Certificate is required; Class A is a strong asset.

• A safety-first mindset and dedication to following protocols.

• A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
