This shift-based leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about safety, team development, and driving operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate production activities to achieve operational targets.

  • Lead crews to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Coach and develop team members to build capability and performance.

  • Facilitate team communication and engagement forums.

  • Provide technical support, problem-solving, and process oversight.

  • Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance requirements are met.

About the Location

Our Portland Smelter is a joint venture between Alcoa of Australia (55%), CITIC (22.5%) and Marubeni Aluminium Australia (22.5%). Alcoa manages the day-to-day operations at the smelter and we produce approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s total aluminium production in Portland.  We are proud of the long-standing relationships we have within our local community and are committed to supporting social and diverse causes.
