Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Supports the Surgery Center Clinical Manager in the operation of the surgery center, onboarding, hiring process, employee supervision and scheduling
- Monitors performance/attendance and communicates with staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all supervised positions
- Participates in employee relation matters which may result in corrective action or termination
- Efficiently manages coordination of the Surgical Suite including Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing Departments (i.e. staffing, supply management, instrumentation, reviews, etc.)
- Acts as a resource person to all levels of staffing for accomplishing care of patients
- Assesses staff needs according to workload and staff competency; re-assigns and adjusts staffing based on patient care needs
- Gives assistance and direction to staff in order to facilitate quality care and efficient patient flow
- Assists with QI, infection control, and regulatory programs as requested by quality and management teams
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others
- Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary training program in nursing required. \
Experience: 3 years of experience in operating room nursing required. Supervisory experience required.
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.
Certifications & Licenses: Current Tennessee RN license or current RN license from a Multi-state licensure compact required. BLS and ACLS required and must be maintained. PALS preferred. If not presently certified, must be obtained within one year of hire.
