About the Role

As an Operating Effectiveness Manager, you lead a team of consultants who conduct deep dive assessments and process review initiatives across operational areas to identify gaps, optimize workflows, and support improvement projects. You work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where creativity, data driven thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement are key. This role also supports cross functional project teams and contributes to continuous improvement within a diverse, global department comprising ISO 9001, Knowledge Xchange, and Process Engineering.

What You’ll Do

  • Mentor Lean Six Sigma consultants on their day-to-day project management
  • Upskill resources on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Validate process maps, assess current workflows, and help identify gaps or structural issues that require improvement.
  • Build stakeholder relationships with senior leaders across various books of business. Drive innovation programs aligned to their strategic objectives.
  • Engage proactively with teams and systems to generate executive insights through data analysis, and support evidence-based recommendations.
  • Design long term transformation plans and present improvement proposals that enhance efficiency and operational outcomes across different business areas.
  • Coordinate project plans, working with multiple stakeholders to test, validate, and implement process changes.
  • Deliver changes effectively through clear presentations, documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with change enabling teams—including Automation, Quality Assurance, Planning, NPS, Data & Analytics, Knowledge Xchange, and Learning & Development—to support delivery and measure impact after implementation.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 10 years of experience in a transformation role at Cigna or a similar business.
  • Experience supporting business projects, improvement initiatives, or acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in evolving environments, manage competing priorities, and follow work through to completion.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, structures, and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
