As a OpenText Exstream Developer, you will play a significant role in our insurance product team, responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the organization’s print communications with customers. The team has exciting years ahead of them as we modernize the technology across the board.

This is a hybrid role. Three days onsite, two days remote.

What You’ll Do

• You will upgrade the COBOL programs hosted on the mainframe z/OS platform, as well as the OpenText Exstream software, to meet evolving business requirements for our print communications.

• You will manage many versions of the print communications such as letters and endorsement forms, requiring intricate business logic, and you will be developing new forms and/or letters using Exstream.

• You will be needed to help refine system change requirements, attend design sessions, present ideas to groups of people with diverse roles and skill levels, and exchange ideas with your team members.

• You are required to provide production environment support on a rotational schedule during the day and night.

What You’ll Need

• To be successful in this job, you must have experience with the Exstream software, the COBOL programming language, and the skill and aptitude to troubleshoot print-related issues in our mainframe application.

• Bring your experience with COBOL, XML, SQL, JCL, DB2, ISPW, Control-M and other mainframe application development skills. Our team is interested in your experience and eager to learn from you.

• You may be able to work in a hybrid work environment of three days in the office, two days at home. The days are scheduled in advance and change every quarter.

• You have worked previously with an Agile team or understand these concepts. You expect to participate in daily standup meetings, you’ll complete your projects or stories during our sprints, and you’re ready to meet frequent deployment deadlines.
