To excel in this position, you should have a solid background in delivering diverse software solutions, encompassing engineering enhancements, process re-engineering, and automation of manual processes. Proven experience as a Progress Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Progress 4GL/OpenEdge.Your expertise should cover the following areas:

• Operating Systems and Databases:
  • Proficient in data modeling and ETL development.
  • Strong command of Progress database (4GL), ProMon and Linux Command Line Tools.
  • Familiarity with OpenEdge WebSpeed and 4GL language concepts.
  • Work on database design and optimization for Progress DB.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS):
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
  • A plus if you hold AWS certification(s).
• Programming:
  • Ability to write well-structured, maintainable, and efficient Python and 4GL/Webspeed code to empower different software components.
  • Ability to create GUI and CHUI based programs.  Familiar with batch programs.
  • Mastery in implementing and ingesting REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineers and Operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of email sending capabilities into our platform.
• Problem-solving Skills:
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address intricate technical challenges.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Communication and Teamwork:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Adaptability:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and rapidly adapt to changing technology and business requirements.
