Enza Zaden as your employer

Enza Zaden is an international family-owned company that has been developing innovative vegetable varieties since 1938. With more than 3,300 colleagues worldwide, we work every day to develop vegetable seeds with better taste, higher yields, and stronger disease resistance. We do this with a clear mission: “Breeding to Feed the World.” Every day, more than 480 million people enjoy vegetables grown from our seeds—something we are incredibly proud of.

We are passionate about what we do and genuinely care about one another. Great ideas are given the space to grow, and together we continue to move forward. This is how we keep innovating, developing, and growing—both as a company and as individuals.

We believe it’s important that you can grow professionally while enjoying what you do. That’s why we invest in your development, well-being, and overall internship experience. Through our dedicated Internship Program, our focus on health and well-being, and activities that bring colleagues together, we create an environment where you can continue learning and make a meaningful contribution.

In addition, you can expect:

  • 24 vacation days per year based on a full-time internship (38 hours per week). For part-time internships or internships shorter than one year, vacation days are calculated on a pro-rata basis;
  • Travel expense reimbursement in accordance with Enza Zaden policy if you are not eligible for a Dutch student public transportation pass;
  • A laptop and, depending on your assignment, a smartphone;
  • Participation in our Internship Program, including training sessions, workshops, and events to help you connect with fellow interns and learn more about the organization;
  • A strong focus on your well-being, including free fresh fruit, healthy lunch options at the office, and mental health support through OpenUp.
