On-Site IT Infrastructure Specialist

What You'll Do: 

As an On-Site IT Infrastructure Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for in-person and remote IT support at our Fiskars locations across the US, primarily in Middleton, WI. Your responsibilities will range from installing workstations and replacing hardware to troubleshooting network issues and performing server maintenance. You'll also work closely with our global ServiceDesk and remote teams to ensure everything is running smoothly across our office, warehouse, and production environments. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Employee Support: Provide top-notch tech support for hardware and software issues-whether it's a workstation, printer, or mobile device. You'll also be the onsite contact for the global ServiceDesk and help create useful guides for employees. 

  • Workstation Setup: Configure and install employee workstations (desktops, laptops, and peripherals) and ensure everything is connected and operational. 

  • Onsite Infrastructure Support: Collaborate with remote teams to support network setups, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and assist with server maintenance. 

  • IT Service Management: Use the ticketing system to log and track support requests, maintain accurate hardware inventories, and support disaster recovery processes as needed. 

  • Security and Compliance: Help enforce IT policies, deploy updates and patches, and report any security incidents. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with IT trends and suggest improvements to boost our tech efficiency. 

What You'll Bring: 

  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field 

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, ideally in a large-scale environment 

  • Expertise with Microsoft products (Office 365, Intune, Active Directory), networking concepts, and hardware troubleshooting 

  • Familiarity with mobile device management (iOS/Android) and supporting various OS environments (Windows & MacOS) 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills 

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with global and local IT teams
