The Excellerate Resident Engineer (ERE) equips production and manufacturing teams with direct engineering support capable of issue resolution, identifying opportunities for innovation/process enhancement, and streamlining communication channels between facility personnel and engineering resources. Internal customers include Production Superintendents, Preproduction Managers, Project Managers (PMs), Engineering Product Managers (EPMs), Engineering Project teams, Production personnel and Procurement agents, among others. Metrics of success include (but are not limited to) reduction of facility labor hours via process improvement, reduction of non-primary time for fabricators/manufacturers, tracking and dissemination of lessons learned, and upstream knowledge flow of means-and-methods and standard manufacturing processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering - Electrical

Education: Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
Experience: 5 years of progressive electrical engineering related
Travel: 5-10%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday and is fully onsite Monday through Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks, ACADE, and Inventor as needed.
- Design for Excellence (DFX), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) knowledge.
- Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Structural troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Reviews customer project requirements, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper application of products within electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Studies and understands related government and industry standards that govern the products being manufactured.
- Interacts with the Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Operations Engineering, Project Management, Preproduction staff on a regular basis.
- Prepares technical drawings, and electrical specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Participate and present technical information during design meetings or reviews.
- Manages and maintains accurate notes from observations in the field and/or facilities.
- Self-checks own work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with sustaining production support.
- Supports service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
- Manages the Engineering Change Management system for designs that are released and in production
- Resolves all questions or concerns with haste to mitigate facility down-time.
- Tracks issues from identification to resolution, while keeping stakeholders apprised of status.
- Attends meetings as needed for various teams/products that the ERE will be supporting.
- Coordinates with various engineering/production teams, serving as POC/liaison.
- Increases engineering core knowledge base of means-and-methods and build/manufacturing processes.
- Prepares comprehensive assessment reports as needed for engineering and production leadership.
- Travels periodically to project sites for evaluations and data collection for reporting purposes.
- Exhibits strong organization, communication, coordination, and planning skills.
- Promotes a One FTI vision of collaboration through relationship-building between Faith, Excellerate, and EnTech.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
