About Role
We are looking for Principal Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Django and scalable system architecture to lead the evolution of our core logistics platform. You will play a key role in driving architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering robust backend services that power our daily operations across the country.
Responsibilities
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and reliable backend systems using Django
and PostgreSQL
• Drive key technical decisions and ensure best practices in code structure, testing,
and performance optimization.
• Own and evolve our backend service ecosystem including APIs, integrations, and
internal tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, data) to ship impactful
features.
• Guide and mentor backend developers — conducting code reviews, knowledge-
sharing sessions, and architectural discussions.
• Lead initiatives to improve system observability, documentation, and operational
excellence.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party services and tools where appropriate (e.g., GPS,
OCR, analytics).
• Help shape technical roadmaps and contribute to product strategy from a tech perspective.
Requirements
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Django.
• Strong command over Python, Django ORM, RESTful API design, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with system design, caching strategies, async task queues (e.g., Celery), and optimizing DB performance.Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a product-focused mindset.
• Previous experience in logistics or supply chain tech is a big plus.
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers or leading teams.
• Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and Docker-based deployments.
