The International Baccalaureate (IB) is committed to supporting the ongoing development of a worldwide professional learning community comprised of internationally minded teachers, school leaders and administrators. Professional learning plays a key role in the organization’s mission. The Professional Learning department offer a comprehensive range of events and products, designed to help teachers and schools to better understand and deliver the IB programmes, create and exchange valuable ideas on international education within a strong IB community, and to identify best practices for the ways we educate students. 
 

The Online PLD team is part of the Professional Learning Delivery department. In 2025 the Online PLD team delivered more than 2,000 online workshops to over 21,000 participants around the world.  This represents significant growth, which is now being built on further with the development of alternative forms of Online PLD.  Members of the Online PLD team are based in both the AEM Global Centre in The Hague and the Americas Global Centre in Washington DC, USA.
 

The Online PLD Coordinator will coordinate the activities related to online workshops by maintaining oversight of which products have been scheduled, ensuring the appropriate events are built in the CRM (SalesForce) and manage online workshop information on the IBO.org website. The post holder will collaborate closely with other members of the Online PLD team and the Regional PLD teams to ensure global availability of workshops. They will monitor registration numbers, create reports, and analyze data to inform scheduling decisions. They are in regular contact with the IB Marketing team to ensure appropriate information regarding online products is shared and review marketing campaigns.
 

Responsibilities

Systems & data management
 

  • Own scheduled event data and reporting in CRM (Salesforce); ensure workshop products are correctly built and maintained.
  • Maintain oversight of the IB PLD catalogue (new products/titles), keep the IBO.org website accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor registrations across systems; produce reports and analyze trends to inform forecasting and scheduling decisions.
  • Liaise with Regional PLD teams to ensure global availability of workshops.
  • Report on financial data and workshop performance to the Online PLD Manager.
  • Draft and advocate updates to SOPs, policies, guidelines, and T&Cs for scheduled workshops.
  • Serve as the team’s CRM superuser: train new staff, submit ServiceNow tickets, and conduct UAT for org wide updates.
     

Customer service
 

  • Act as Tier 2 contact (IB Answers) for questions on scheduling, availability, and marketing of online products.
  • Respond to staff and stakeholder queries on the scheduled workshop model and related topics.
    Marketing collaboration
  • Provide Marketing with accurate information on launches, schedules, and registration numbers.
  • Meet regularly to review plans and campaign performance; suggest products/workshop titles for targeted marketing.
     

General team support
 

  • Provide coverage for team members as assigned; support global/regional projects and escalate issues in a timely manner.
     
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years’ CRM experience (Salesforce certification a plus).
  • Experience with Web Content Management; familiarity with Event Management Systems preferred.
  • Exposure to LMS / online learning desirable.
  • Demonstrated project/event management skills; judgment to optimize efficiency and adapt to change.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting/dashboard skills, and comfort with financial data.
  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken); Spanish/French desirable.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, international environment; high attention to detail, time management, and customer focus.
  • Able to work independently and in teams, make sound decisions, and uphold high professional standards.
  • Understanding of the international education/IB context is an asset.
