Summary:
The purpose of the One to One Observer is to provide personal constant observation of a patient.
This position will also Communicate with and support healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s).
This position will also maintain and demonstrate high standards of professional ethics.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Must have strong communication skills.
Required Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
